Answer This Question

A:  Mine have been outdoors in Upstate South Carolina heat and rain for 10 months, and appear to still be in excellent shape. We did have some ice during the winter, too. So I would say they'll do pretty well.

      Answer This Question

A:  Yes - very easy to work with. You will need a union and some pvc cleaner and pvc glue. Cosmetically though you will see the union joint and you will need to be careful with the cleaner / glue to not get it on the exposed surfaces

      by|Jul 28, 2019

A:  yes - look in the plumbing section to find 1.5 plastic connectors or order them on line.

        by|Jul 28, 2019

A:  Yes. It is very sturdy. Connecting the two lengths will require a fitting, so it will not be an uninterrupted smooth length, but it will certainly hold a length of lights.

A:  No, it is not recommended and not strong enough to be used to make a boat ladder.

A:  Yes, it has tremendous strength. We use it to build dog agility equipment too.

            by|Jul 24, 2019

A:  Probably if the persons using it were normal sized people. I would say good to 200-225 lbs. Just my guess though.

A:  1" Size Pipe will begin to flex at 8-feet under its own weight in a vertical position. You would be better off using 1-1/2" Size PVC Pipe or larger to achieve those lengths. Hope this helps!

A:  1" or 1-1/4" would be ideal, as those two sizes are just strong enough, but are not too large in size.

A:  Hello AS, Yes it is very easy to cut with the right tool. I've included links to some below. I personally recommend either the ratcheting cutters or the rotating tube cutters. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris PVC Cutters: https://www.homedepot.com/s/pvc%2520pipe%2520cutter?NCNI-5

A:  Yes. Virtually any saw will cut it, such as a hacksaw. Afterwards, you will want to file or sandpaper the edges to smooth them. Slap a cap on and you wont even see your saw cut.

A:  They are just PVC - no different than the white PVC. You can cut them with any number of saw types. A saw through plastic - hacksaw, jig saw. It should not be an issue to cut them down. I had to cut a number of mine for my project and I used a standard hack saw.

A:  Yes it is to cut into smaller peices. I used my miter saw but it would be just as easy with a hack saw. I made a ball pit with a ladder with these. There were numerous sizes, with no issues cutting them.

A:  We used a pvc cutter and they worked fine. A hack saw can be used as well as a chop saw.
