Q:Can I make a curtain rod out of this

Answer This Question
A: I don't see why not. You will need end caps (pvc or finials painted black) to give it a finished look. If you are planning on using curtain rings or curtains with sewn in rings, they may scratch the black surface with use. But the scratches shouldn't show that much.

A: Yes, you could use this pole as a curtain rod -- and what an imaginative and interesting adaptation of this pipe. It's heavy PVC pipe; the color is solid black; it's strong by itself; and the size allows it to fit over other existing poles or pipes. So, it can provide support to an existing pole, or it can be used as a pipe that provides support just by itself.

A: I don't see why not - it would have to be supported depending on the weight of the curtain so it would not bend too much - you would need to cap the ends as well.

Q:Would four 4' sections flex enough to form a round hoop with cross connector fittings?

Answer This Question
A: This particular PVC pipe is too thick and sturdy and will not flex. You would need a lighter weight in PVC pipe in order to get the required flex for your project.

A: Not unless the sections were heated. These are fairly rigid.
