A: Dear WillP,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This set comes with 4 8" hooks. The picture was taken straight on and gives the illusion of the hooks as being shorter. They are really 8" long. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely,
The Flow Wall Team

Q:Can you use a sliding mitre saw to cut the panels to desired length? If so, what type of blade would you recommend? If not, what type of saw would you recommend?

Answer This Question
A: I've used a miter saw with a regular wood blade and it works well.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes - you can cut the panels using a variety of blades as the panels are high cellulose PVC that metal blades can easily cut. Cut to your desired length and to accommodate electrical outlets, control panels, and similar situations. Most Flow Wall owners have found that a circular saw is the easiest.

A: Definitely! Our panels are made of a cellulose PVC so any type of saw should be able to trim them. You can cut the panels to any desired length as well as cutting around outlets and switches.

A: It seems like the panels would be easy enough to cut down if they were too big.

A: This could be used in that manner.

A: We would not recommend using either hooks included in this set for hanging bicycles; however, we do carry a vertical bike hook that is specially designed just for storing bicycles!

A: No. You can swrew the panels directly to your exposed studs
by|May 5, 2023
A: You can definitely install our panels to bare studs. It makes the installation much easier and quicker. Also, you can use our panels in place of drywall providing you entire walls for your storage needs.

A: You can install our panel on concrete. You need to purchase concrete screws and it requires pre-drilling the holes.
by|May 3, 2023
A: tapcon or spax (there are several other direct-to-concrete screws; don't bother with anchors.

Answer This Question
A: you don't need anchors just the right screws, non-issue and just as fast, nay faster than putting on a stud-wall; (don't need to find studs; put screws anywhere with brick). I'd look into either tapcon or spax screws.

A: Yes, but time it would take to do masonry anchors would prohibitive. Up two 8 screws per panel. Packs come with 6 panels. Can be done, but defeats typical ease of installation that is pro of this system
by|May 3, 2023
A: Yes, however you will need to get alternate screws from your local Home Depot for that to work correctly.

Answer This Question
A: They are molded plastic so I suppose they could be painted although it wouldn't be easy to get good coverage on the attachment slots. Plus, I suspect that the paint would be damaged when you attach the hooks.
by|May 3, 2023
A: I probably would not paint this item. I would think the paint would chip easily.
by|May 3, 2023
A: Yes, but with hanging and reattaching hooks, shelves, etc, will probably have to re paint. Not gloss, has matte feel so will hold paint fairly well
by|May 3, 2023
A: Anything can be painted but given the tight fit of the hanging pieces it could chip when you put them on the panel.
by|May 3, 2023
A: Yes. You will need paint that can be used on plastic, but we don't recommend it because it is likely to chip/peel.
