Q:How is the rake attached to the handle? A screw? Most rakes deteriorate at this connection thru rust and the handle comes loose, then out of handle.

A: Tines are plastic. Handle stick is aluminum. Sturdy.

A: Yes, the head & tines are metal (seem stronger than aluminum) flexible & very strong. I have used it to spread out mulch, dirt & pond pebbles along the edges of my flowerbeds. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a very versatile rake.

A: This is the BEST RAKE EVER!!! The head and tines are made of very flexible, but strong, plastic. It flexes and molds to the terrain, but is very gentle on the lawn and plants.

A: The rake has a lifetime warranty. Contact Mfg. for replacement. My wife loves this rake and I enjoy it too. Love the long handle. Excellent value!

A: Thank you for contacting Fiskars. The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects. As long as the tool breaks under "normal" usage it will be covered. (For example, if you back over the rake with your car and it breaks, it wouldn't be covered).

A: Flexible tines must mean light weight medal or plastic. Doesn't sound very sturdy. I need it for spreading mulch in tight area so want fixed tines.
