A: Yes. They come painted already in white, and it’s a nice finish. If you want to paint it another color, just give it a light sand and paint it.

Q:How solid/ hard is the board? I’d like to use it as baseboard but my walls have some bowing. Dose it have any flex to it?

Answer This Question
A: Yes it does flex a bit. I used the wider boards as baseboard in my NY apartment and it worked fine. I glued it to the walls using liquid nails. I had to use heavy paint cans etc to keep it hard against the wall until the glue dried hard ( a day or so).

Q:What is the exact sheen & color of paint that would match this trim? We are using a different primed trim, along side of this and want them to match. We purchased and used the Behr Premium Plus - Ultra Pure White in Semi-Gloss (as recommended) and it is much whiter, (Finished Elegance has a "bluer/grayer" hue) and is much shinier. Now we have to repaint all of those boards.. Photo shows 2 coats and the obvious differences. HELP!!

A: Yes I used it as a baseboard. I fastened it to the wall with "Liquid Nails" (You have to keep it pressed to the wall until the Liquid Nails hardens) and used white cauking on the joints.

Q:I am interested in using this product to reinforce existing wallboard for a grab bar. The grab bar holes do not match up with the studs. The installation would be in a bathroom, not inside a shower. Would using this product in this way be sound?

A: I wouldn’t, actual tree wood is best

A: This is made of fiberboard covered with a thin film of plastic. I would not use it for a grab bar. Looks nice but mars easily (fingernail), and I would fear a screw pulling loose after a period of time.

Answer This Question
A: You can use it for cabinet door frames. Remember this is a wood composite and if cut, will leave an unfinished look. I used this for shelf brackets inside a closet.

Answer This Question
A: No, this is not weatherproof material. It is not made to get wet.

A: This is mdf. It can not be used outside
While like wood when painted and sealed in it will be good, when there is a crack or any water penetration it will bubble and change shape permanently
Wood will bend and swell, mdf can fall apart
