A: This is Step One of the Faux EZ System. Step Two is required to achieve darker colors as shown online. If your cabinets are darker than the desired new color, you can prime them white first and then use Faux EZ to achieve the new depth of color. The more Step Two is applied, the darker the color. Light colors use less Step Two. A: This is Step One base coat. Step Two is required over Step One to achieve the desired depth of color. If your cabinets are dark to start with you can prime them white and then use Faux EZ to bring the color to your desired level. If you have light wood or painted cabinets you can use Faux EZ directly over them. Be sure to clean thoroughly with Krud Kutter and prince well before applying finish. A: You can use Faux EZ in areas where there is never any direct sunlight. It will require two top coats of exterior water based polyurethane. Sunlight destroys Faux EZ.
