A:  Faux EZ? may be for use on textured/cottage cheese type ceilings ONLY if the texture is scraped off and then primed first. Then apply the Faux EZ as directed.

A:  Yes you can use a brush to apply clear coat. Use the water based poly.

A:  You can try a test to see how it comes out. Sometimes it will work. You should top coat it with a waterbased polyurethane like Polycrylic by Minwax.

A:  Hi I am not sure if you would need step one to make step two stick to the finish of the cabinets. When I used the product I had a painted finish and put on the wood grain. The second step worked great. The more I sprayed the darker the wood became. I would try the back of a cabinet door first It may work great.

A:  Faux EZ can be used over light wood to make it darker. You will need an 8 oz. can of Step One and two cans of Step Two. We recommend that you order one Faux EZ Kit and one extra Step Two. Step Two is a dark spray-on toner. Apply one coat of Step One brush-on and then apply several coats of the Step Two spray, waiting between coats for about 20 to 30 minutes to dry and darken. The more layers you apply the darker the finish. Please follow the videos to get the best results.

A:  Only sand if the finish is rough and you want it smooth. It is most important that the surface be cleaned and rinsed well.

A:  Sorry I don’t think I can answer your question because we used it on cabinets which we sanded down to the bare wood.

A:  Yes you can use Faux EZ over white paint. It is best to try a sample on something small before doing a larger project. Be sure to order Step One and Step Two.
