A:  Hello! Thank you for your question! The Fasade decorative panels are hypoallergenic, mold free, and can be cleaned with just soap and water. The panels are made from recycled PVC material and the foil finish is thermo-formed into the panel making the panels perfect for restaurants and hospitals. Although the panels are fire retardant please keep in mind the panels are made of a plastic material and with a radiant heat beyond 140 degrees it could destroy the look of the panel. Our decorative Fasade panels are made of PVC plastic which can handle high humidity rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, bars, basements, bathrooms, and family rooms. Unfortunately, we do not recommend installing the panels in a non-temperature controlled area or outside (outdoor patio/ garage/ camper/ RV) because the panels are not designed for exterior use or extreme weather conditions. The panels may expand and contract in extreme hot and cold temperature swings causing the foil to deform. The adhesive may also be an issue as it freezes & thaws or reaches high temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. Additionally, UV rays will cause the panels’ coloration to fade quickly so we do not recommend installing the panels in direct sunlight. The panels can be installed above or behind most stoves. Be sure to keep direct heat sources – toaster ovens, cooking burners, etc., a minimum of 6 inches away from the wall panel’s surface.
