    Answer This Question

A:  Hello! Thank you for your question! Even though the backsplash panels are fire-retardant, they can be deformed by excessive heat (over 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The panels can be installed above or behind most stoves. Be sure to keep direct heat sources – toaster ovens, cooking burners, etc., a minimum of 6 inches away from the backsplash panel’s surface.

Q:Do I need a sealent when using the double sided tape?

        Answer This Question

A:  That is a great question! If installing Fasade panels near a water-prone area, such as a sink or tub, be sure the substrate is dry and mold-free. A (non PVA-based) mold- and mildew-resistant primer MUST be used in this application. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s directions. A silicone sealant may be needed for further water-proofing but is not required with the double sided tape.

A:  Hi there Jen and thank you for your question. This is George from our How-To-Community. Jen I have contacted manufacturer in regards to your question and they have informed us that they do not sell matching caulking for this product. However we do sell matching trim profiles that you can use to conceal end pieces and corners. If you are set on finding a matching caulking i would recommend visiting our flooring department and inquiring about Custom Building Products grout caulking line of products. These products are available in variety of colors and are available in store and by special order as well. See related product section for sample of the recommended product.

A:  Fasade does not make a colored sealant to go with the backsplash panels. The best way to find a matching sealant would be to order a sample of the color from www.fasadeideas.com and then take it to the store and match it to the sealant and the stores.
