Q:What is Moonstone Copper. Is this actually a product like annotized aluminum?

      Answer This Question

A:  Hello! Thank you for your question! Our decorative Fasade backsplash panels are made of PVC plastic and have a foil finish that is thermo-formed into the panels. Unfortunately, we do not recommend installing the panels in a non-temperature controlled area or outside (outdoor patio/ garage/ camper/ RV) because the panels are not designed for exterior use or extreme weather conditions. The panels may expand and contract in extreme hot and cold temperature swings causing the foil to deform. The adhesive may also be an issue as it freezes & thaws or reaches high temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. Additionally, UV rays will cause the panels’ coloration to fade quickly so we do not recommend installing the panels in direct sunlight. Please feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750). Thank you!

Q:what is the size of the actual squares that make up this facade?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello! Thank you for your question! Our Traditional 6 18x24 inch backsplash panels have a repeat pattern every 6x6 inch square. However, our panels cut very easy with a scissors, tin snips or utility knife and the panels can be cut to any size. We have many patterns that do not have a repeat pattern every 6x6 inches. Those can be viewed in our brochures at your local Home Depot or online at fasadeideas.com. Please feel free to contact customer care for any installation tips and tricks at 800.434.3750. Thank you!

A:  Hi johnnyt, These tiles are approx. 3 inches squared. So you should be okay with installing them in smaller pieces. Joseph

A:  Hello Plams! Thank you for your question! The Fasade decorative backsplash panels are quite easy to install. Fasade decorative tiles are durable PVC plastic that are water, impact and stain resistant. To cut the backsplash panels, you can use a utility knife, scissors or a tin snips. You can view an installation video or download the FAQ's and installation guide at www.fasadeideas.com. Feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).

A:  Hello Flamingoj! Thank you for your question! Even though the backsplash panels are fire-retardant, they can be deformed by excessive heat (over 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The panels can be installed above or behind most stoves. Be sure to keep direct heat sources – toaster ovens, cooking burners, etc., a minimum of 3 inches away from the backsplash panel’s surface.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. It sounds as if your panels do not have protective film on them and instead the foil finish on the panel is what is being pulled from the panel.
