Making sure all surfaces are clean, dry, flat, smooth and free from dust, grease, and lightly sand any glossy surfaces to remove sheen will ensure proper installation of the panels. They are meant to withstand normal wear and tear because they are made from a rigid PVC. However, too much blunt force in a very high traffic area may cause damage to the panel. We suggest smoothing down any rough, uneven surfaces, as this could cause an adhesion failure since it is not being applied to a level substrate. Any cracks or irregularities should be filled in with a compound before installing our panels over. A:  Hello! Great question! These applications are not recommended, as the rubbing could potentially scratch the surface of the tile. The Fasade backsplash panels are made of durable PVC that is meant for a backsplash or ceiling application. We do not recommend installing to a working surface or floor because the foil may scratch or fade with extreme wear & tear. We recommend using Loctite® PL Premium® construction adhesive if applying to a backsplash or ceiling.
