    A:  By placing the fiberglass pipe insulation on the pipes, you would no longer be providing heat to your basement. That's what pipe insulation is supposed to do in this case.

        A:  This is designed for steam pipes and not for exhaust pipes. The exhaust pipes would reach too high of a temperature.

          Q:I have 4 radiator pipes -- 3 measure 7.75 circumference (thus, 2.467 diameter), 1 measures 7.5 circumference (2.387 diameter). Is 2-1/2 the right size to get to insulate these pipes?

            Q:I am trying to find a way to cover the floor to ceiling pipe in my bathroom so that it looks nicer. Is this product a good option? The pipe does get hot. Photos attached.

            A:  For decorating we cannot give you an opinion. we can tell you that vinyl covering looks pretty good. As for insulating the pipe, the fiberglass will do a great job.

              Q:This insulation has paper on the top. How's this even safe on pipes exiting an atmospheric gas water heater when those pipes are right next to the draft hood and vent pipe?

              A:  This is a vinyl covering, not paper and the heat generated from the water heater will not reach it's flash point. This Pipe insulation is made especially for high temperature steam pipes.
