Answer This Question
A: Yes everything needed is included with this set.....Although, this set is not meant to be visible on 3 sides. The back of these logs are typically not painted / finished to be aesthetically pleasing. They are built for your typical (front view) fireplace. You should probably search for a "double-sided" gas log set for "see-thru" fireplaces. Since you stated that your fireplace is enclosed with glass, you should get a vented log set with a safety pilot. Most vented sets are considered to be "match-lit" which means you turn the gas on and hold a match to the burner to ignite. A safety pilot allows for a push button ignition. Remote controls are not needed but an add-on. Vermiculite is needed if your gas type is LP (liquid propane)...otherwise crushed shale or lava rocks are used and come with most sets. Glowing embers are also used on vented sets and come with most. Not really needed but provides a realistic burning fire ambiance. Some gas logs come with a short (10") gas supply line that hooks to your "capped-off" pipe. Depending on what comes with the log set you choose, you may need to purchase a longer supply line which can be found in any Home Depot or home improvement store.
I hope that helps.
