A: Hello Jim and thanks for your question. I believe you have some wiggle room with that 16". The grate itself is only 12" deep. The burner pan and embers will stick out of the front 1-2". You may need to re-locate the front logs that are just meant to sit on fireplace floor in front of the unit. But they can be placed anywhere on the stacked logs. I think you'll be fine.

A: This is a "match light" Vented Log Set so it does not come with a pilot or thermocouple. All Vent Free sets do come with this feature. Or you have the option to purchase an accessory Safety Pilot Kit (models CVS-303 or RVS-304) that can easily be added to this unit.

A: None. A thermocouple must be bought separately.

A: Hi Robert and thanks for your question. The SCVFR is a good selling vent free with remote control unit. It can be 18", 24", or 30"; operate on NG or LP. Also the OVT22NG or LP has a thermostat valve. It would depend on your fireplace dimensions as to what size you need.

A: Hello Woody and thanks for the question. I'm not familiar with G4 and G45 burners...I believe they may be from another supplier/manufacturer. The safety pilot kit we offer as an accessory to the Country Split Oak model CS(O)24NG log set would be model CVS-303. I hope that helps.

A: Yes. Although to convert to operate on LP, you will need to purchase a Safety Pilot Kit (model CVS-303 or RVS-304) which is needed to convert any "Vented" log set from NG to LP.

Q:I have a 36" fireplace opening can I use a 24" or 30" log set? Does local code dictate the size?

Answer This Question
A: Your front width is sufficient for either a 24" or 30" set. But...you also need to measure your depth and back width to be certain. For this particular set or any "Vented" log sets, you also need a working chimney. Gas supply on the left is no issue. Our vented sets can be hooked up from either side.
