Q:What is the thickness of the crosshead piece at the bottom? Or what thickness of side moulding will butt up to the bottom of this so it doesn't overlap the crosshead?

A: Hello! The bottom projection of our Seville crosshead is 1/2 inch and at the top of the crosshead, the projection is 2-1/8 inch

A: Great question. The overall width of the crown molding portion of the Seville crosshead is 3-1/4 inches wider than the bottom width. So for example, if you are looking at the 36 inch bottom width, the overall width of the crosshead would be 39-1/4 inches.
