        A:  IMHO, it certainly could if 1) the garage is not attached to the home; 2) there are no ignition sources (pilot lights, etc.) in the garage; 3) if the garage is very well ventilated both in the eaves and at ground level; and 4). That said, I would never store any flammable liquids or solids inside my home. I keep my cabinet in a covered sideyard next to my house and it is extremely well-ventilated as three sides are fully open to allow high volume air transfer out of the sideyard.
