Unfortunately, the BR style breakers are not UL listed for Crouse-Hinds panels. However, you can use a CLCAF115, and it would be UL listed for that style of panel. If you have more questions or concerns, please call our technical support team at 877-386-2273 Opt. 2 Opt. 3 Opt. 1.

This is a suitable replacement for a 15A BR arc fault breaker, however the BRN115A1CS would also be another option as well.

Q:My brand new refrig keeps tripping the AF GF BReaker. Samsung tech says refrig is fine. Recommend putting GFCI outlet in wall.

Answer This Question
A: Tommy,
A GFCI breaker and GFCI receptacle will work in the same circuit without issue. The one disadvantage to this set-up is added complexity when tracing down where a ground fault has occurred. If there was a ground fault detected the source of the fault can be harder to trace depending on which device caught it and tripped quicker. To discuss this further please contact our Technical Resource Center at 877-386-2273 opt 2, opt 3, opt 1.

Q:Does the test button check for both serial and parallel arc faults, and is there a way to tell which way it's faulting (as apparently can be done with LEDs on some CAFCIs)?

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
Series and parallel arcs produce individual trip codes to indicate which fault caused the trip. Please copy and paste the following link to see the trip codes produced by these breakers: https://www.eaton.com/content/dam/eaton/products/electrical-circuit-protection/molded-case-circuit-breakers/eaton-resi-installation-instructions-il003022en-en-us.pdf
