Answer This Question
A: You will need an electrical tester to determine which black is constant power
This wire will terminate to the side with two brass screws
You will need to pigtail the white conductors and terminate to the silver screw
The other black conductor terminates to the single brass screw
This device needs to be grounded with the bare conductor which terminates to the green screw

A: No, just a standard 2 pole switch. You would need a 3 pole switch at both ends for that plus the third wire to each switch location.

A: I bought this to switch the over the bath cabinet lights and wired the outlet to the adjacent Ground Fault Interruption duplex outlet. You could use it to allow switching of the outlet on and off it you wanted to wire it for that but normally it would be used as a light switch above an outlet. Be aware that depending on the wiring to that box, you may not be able to use the outlet as some switch only wiring situations may only include the wiring to control the light and not have a full power circuit to that electrical box.

A: It can be configured with the plug always hot and light controlled by the switch, with the plug and light controlled by the switch, or with the light controlled by the switch and the plug on a separate circuit. Don't follow the instructions provided in the package, though. They're absolutely 100% wrong. You'll blow a circuit breaker or fuse if you're lucky. Burn down your house if you're not. Two of the configurations will short neutral and hot when the switch is closed. If you're not sure how to do basic wiring, consult an electrician.

A: As a light switch and a plug and as a switch for the plug. there are two wiring options.
I did the former, I had a light switch in my closet that I also wanted a plug for my phone. this worked for me.
