Q:Can I keep the gas/oil mixture 1 year ? or 2?
by|Jul 8, 2020
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: 1 year in a completely sealed (no air intrusion) gas can would be the maximum I would go. This is because of the ethanol mix gasoline we have today. Ethanol is hydroscopic (attracts water from the air) water in your gas will give nothing but problems. A premium synthetic based 2-cycle oil with fuel stabilizers will help. Personally, I use a 2-gallon gas can and at the end of the season put the unused gasoline in my car. Fresh gas every year for the snowblower = less problems. (Your car won't be harmed by the 2-cycle oil).

Thank you for your question.
Yes, that is the mix you will want to put into your gasoline. Be sure to use at least an 89 or 90 octane that is no older than 30 days.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
