Q:I need this to fix a broken ceramic giraffe leg. How do I hold the 2 pieces together if it has to lay down, broken leg would be in the air. Can I hold it together for a specified amount of time & then let go? Thank you!

Answer This Question

A:  It may take up to 24 hours for the product to fully cure. For best results, first clean both surfaces with acetone or rubbing alcohol. Treat E6000 as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the product to both surfaces and allow 2-3 minutes for it to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping or securing. Try taping or supporting the leg so it is not under stress during the curing process. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and The Home Depot!

Q:Can this be removed if necessary?

    Answer This Question

A:  E6000 is a solvent based adhesive that can be removed by exposing to a solvent like acetone (it may need to soak for some time before it breaks down). Alternately, a citrus-based cleaning agent will also break the product down. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and The Home Depot!

Q:Will E6000 adhere to a silicone surgical tube?
      by|Feb 7, 2024
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  E6000 is a great adhesive but may struggle to bond well with silicone. It will bond, but poorly. To increase the bond strength of E6000 to silicone, lightly scuff-sand the surface of the silicone and clean with rubbing alcohol before applying. Treat the product as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the product to both surfaces and allow 2-3 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Q:Will this bond plexiglass to wood?
        by|Feb 5, 2024
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  E6000 is a great choice for bonding wood to plexiglass and it should do a great job. For best results, first scuff-sand the plexiglass with a 60 or 80 grit sand paper, then wipe clean the surface with acetone or rubbing alcohol prior to applying. Treat the product as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the E6000 to both surfaces and allow 2-3 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours.
