      A:  I've been using mine for a few weeks now to pull things out of the pool, and it seems very rigid. In fact, one thing I have a hard time doing is pulling one of the sections hard enough to fold it back up. I'm pretty sure you could open and close curtains fine with this if they are not stuck on something.

        A:  ArcMate 120" (10 foot) Tool might be too long to reach for something that is only 5 feet away. Also, the tool does no angle, turn or bend. If any of these restrictions are a non-factor, then Yes, ArcMate's Outdoor EZ Reacher Tools would be able to assist.
