A:  The proper shower base for this enclosure will actually be approximately 2" larger on all dimensions. So, for the 38x38" Prism Lux shower enclosure, you will need to get the 40x40" neo-angle shower base (model # DLT-2040400). The base needs to be slightly larger than the glass enclosure so that the glass fits up onto the curbs of the shower base. DreamLine is the manufacturer and does not provide installation services, but most Home Depot stores will provide contractor services (including shower door installation) through the store. Please check with an associate at your local Home Depot store to see if these services are available through their store location. A:  The base is supposed to be 2" larger than the shower enclosure, so the 40" base will work with the 38" shower enclosure. This is because the base is installed to the studs and the enclosure is installed to your finished walls. They will work together perfectly. A:  DreamLine cannot guarantee that our neo-angle shower enclosures will pair with a neo-angle shower base from a different manufacturer. Often, customers who try to pair neo-angle products from two different manufacturers will find that the fit is not correct, the angles don't line up properly, and the two products (glass enclosure and shower base) are generally not compatible. Also, when DreamLine pairs our glass enclosures with a matching shower base, the glass enclosure's dimensions will be approximately 2" smaller than the shower base's dimensions so that the glass fits up onto the curbs of the base - so, for example, the DreamLine 36x36 Prism Lux enclosure would actually pair with the 38x38 DreamLine. DreamLine recommends that the shower base be 2" larger than the shower enclosure for correct installation of the components.
