A:  For an opening 52" wide, you will need the Infinity-Z that is designed to fit a 50" to 54" opening. The model number for that is SHDR-0954720-04. A:  I think it is possible but the opening to walk in would be more narrow. You would have to adjust the guides for the rollers which are in the top and bottom rails.

A:  I suppose it is possible to cut down the track to that size since my installer did for a 581/4" opening width but the doors in your case will be too wide and overlap each other quite a bit (and therefore may be hard to mount in the tracks -- but ask an installer). If it were me, I would buy something like the Coastal series meant for a 52" wide space. If you go ahead with these you might have a hard time getting the two doors onto the track (but probably not impossible) and there will always be 6" more overlap of the two glass doors (3" each?). FYI these are nice, smooth operation, thick glass -- I have become a squeegie nut though after every shower to keep water spots off. A frosted glass door may be a bit more forgiving as far as water spots if you don't have family members inclined to wipe down the glass each time.

A:  Unfortunately, the only panel designed to slide is the panel with the handle. The panel with the towel bar installed is not able to slide and unfortunately, there is no way to get it to slide. Dreamline does have other tub doors that can be customized to your height and width by working with your Home Depot and DreamLine's Custom Glass Group. Those tub doors, the Duet, Essence, and Encore, are 5/16" thick glass and can be customized. Your Home Depot will need to submit an email to customglass@dreamline.com with your specifice measurements and needs. The only framing is around the perimeter of the opening that attaches to the wall, threshold, and the upper guide rail. A:  I would think unlikely. The side sections are the only ones that get screwed into anything, my walls were covered in thin tile. I don't think the fiberglass tub surround would be strong enough.

A:  Yes, I have the same and it was easily installed.

The requirements for installing all DreamLine shower doors/tub doors or enclosures are as follows: You must have smooth, solid finished walls that are at least as tall as the door that you are installing. In the case of the Infinity-Z Tub Door, the measurement from your threshold to the top of the tub door is 58". If there is flex or give when you push on the walls, then they are not solid. The other requirement is that the joint where the wall meets the threshold must be a 90° angle and not a radius or curve. If your tub enclosure meets these requirements, then the Infinity-Z Tub Door will work for you.
