Q:I want the light to focus downwards, for use on either side of my bed. Can I mount this light upside down to do that?

A:  No the glass will slide out of the housing.

    A:  HI Jaelynn, I contacted the manufacture to get you an answer. The manufacture stated that you can not install upside down as the glass shade sits on a ledge. The shade is not locked down.

    A:  Thanks for your question. This Monroe light fixture is designed to be hardwired in, so will be using a wall switch to be illuminated.
