Q:What valve do I need to purchase for this item Model # T17255-CZ that will also allow for use of bathtub spout? It says 1-Handle but the picture looks like it has 2?

A:  Thank you for your question, Kevin! Any tub and shower R10000 valve will allow you to add a diverter tub spout such as the RP34357. Note that valves with an HF code (High Flow) do not have a tub spout port. The 17 Series has a single handle for on/off volume control and a knob on the front for the temperature. Q:Does this kit replace a 1900 trim, does it come with the cartridge?

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question, Jbplumbing! Unfortunately, this is not designed to work with a 1900 Series valve. Instead, we would recommend the RP54318 Conversion Kit. Otherwise, you may replace the valve with an R10000 and install this or another trim kit. Q:Know what exact extra parts I have to purchase to use the shower head with or without the body wash spray.

A:  Thank you for your question, Ildy! The R10000 Rough-In Valve and body sprays are sold separately To divert water between the body spray(s) and shower head, you will need a 3-setting diverter. We would recommend the model R11000 and T11855 (or T11800-PB for Polished Brass models). A:  Hello KJAG, There is in fact a big difference, the Delta Victorian Shower Trim T17255 is a regular monitor 1700 series. The T17T255 is from the same Victorian collection but with a thermostatic cartridge. TempAssure Thermostatic valves monitor the temperature of the water and adjust the mix automatically to maintain precise temperature control and to keep the water temperature in your shower within a safe ±3° F (±1.6° C). This provides a more consistent temperature than pressure balanced valves can supply. TempAssure valves also feature an adjustable high-temperature limit stop that when properly set helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort. And because TempAssure measures the temperature of water, the handle limit stop will not need to be adjusted for seasonal ground water temperature changes. This information can but found under the smart solutions tab. Once your there you can click on TempAssure tab. Below is a link to this same information. http://www.deltafaucet.com/smart-solutions/tempassure.html?filter=all Best regards, Tanya

A:  The thermostatic cartridge in the t17t255-RB is the difference. It measures and monitors the temperature of the water and automatically adjusts to maintain a more precise water temperature.
