The hanging device doesn't look to be rust proof and I'm not sure how to water prove the holes necessary to ount the device to the wall. You might want to check with the manufacturer directly. A:  Find someone with very strong thumbs and push up while having someone tilt the hook away at the top. You would have to buy new anchors for the wall.

A:  cardsurfing, thank you for your question. By placing both thumbs on the bottom of the mount and pushing up, and then pulling outward you should be able to remove the post from the wall. Best, Customer Care Team

A:  No, it is not difficult to remove. You push up on the base and tilt the top out and it comes off. Reverse the process when you want to reinstall it. It is much easier that trying to stick a small hex wrench or screwdriver in the usual small and hard to find hole on the bottom of the base that they used to use.
