A:  Hi Chuck, Thank you for your question. The matching 3-Setting Diverter trim for this unit is the T11800-SS, which uses an R11000 rough-in valve. This will allow you to use the 51900-SS. However, you will also need a supply elbow such as the 50560-SS. Best regards, Jon

A:  Hi PD, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17230 will need a valve behind the wall to be able to turn the water on and off and to regulate the temperature. We recommend model R10000-UNBXHF to get the most water flow. Thanks. Jody

A:  Hi DP, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17230-SS will work with your existing 1700 series shower valve. If your current valve was installed before 2006, you will need to keep your older cartridge as the new cartridge will not fit your valve. If you need to replace that cartridge, please order model RP32104. If your valve was installed after 2006, then you can actually replace it with any of our 1300/1400, 1700. or 17T series trims. A:  Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17230-SS contains a rotational limit stop that allows more hot water to flow through the valve. There are directions for adjusting the limit stop . It is in the Maintenance and Installations instructions. Thanks. Jody

A:  Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17230-SS does have two handles that sit on top of each other. To remove the temperature knob so you can service the unit, grasp the sides of the temperature knob and squeeze toegther. Then with your other hand, pull gently but firmly on the end that sticks out and it should pop off. Underneath that is a screw that holds everything else intact. Thanks. Jody
