Q:I am trying to remove a faucet like this to install a new Delta. I cannot find any screws other than the two under the arched part. It looks like it should come off in two pieces. The is no hidden cover in back of arch hiding another screw. HELP

A: Hi Jill,
Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model BT2710-SS Roman Tub Trim In Stainless. I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help!
To use this trim, the model R2707 valve rough would need to be installed. The flow rate for this tub trim may not be allowed for use in sinks by local plumbing codes.
Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you!

Q:I am replacing an old Delta tub trim kit. How can I tell if this is compatible with the rough in and valves already in place with the old trim kit.

A: It is compatible. You may see a minor gap in the handles but it is nothing that is terrible to look at.

A: Hi, Matt!
Thank you for your question. To verify if the Delta BT2710-SS will work with your existing valve body, we recommend to look at the tub spout assembly. The tub spout will have a set screw either in the front or back of the spout. If the set screw is in the front, no new roman tub trim will work with the existing valve body. If the set screw is in the back, any new trim kit, including the BT2710-SS, will fit on the existing valve body. All of our new trim kits have the set screws on the back of the spout so they will retrofit on the original valve body. I hope this information helps.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

Q:I have existing handles. Do I need valve if I am just replacing the trim?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question. If you had a existing Delta Faucet model as your old model, you should not need to change out the valve when using the model BT2710-SS.
If it was not a Delta Faucet model, then we do recommend changing out the trim. We suggest model R2707.
Thanks.
