A:  Yes, this can work on a portable dishwasher as long as it accommodates deckplate mounted faucets.

A:  It is sturdy enough to stand regular attachment of the connecting hose. Fitting the adapter will require care in removing the aerator. I recommend steady pressure with a pipe wrench and light grasping of the curved part, with vice grips.
