Q:Is the humidity sensor built into the fan unit in a way that you can leave the fan switch on and let the humidity sensor turn the fan on and off?

A:  Yes, with the wall power switch turned on, the fan can turn itself off when humidity falls below the threshold. However, if the wall power switch is off, the fan will not operate (some fans turn themselves ON if humidity rises, regardless of power switch)

    A:  If this fan is on a GFI circuit, it can be installed in a shower enclosure. Be sure to study tye switching instructions as they’re quite confusing. This is not a direct replacement for an existing single switch vent fan. Basically, the light is wired to a separate switch and the fan wires to the supplied switch. Tip: Both fan switches off, no fan operation, humidify switch on, fan operates at pre-selected humidity level,(selection made before attaching bezel,) both fan switches on…immediate venting.

      Q:If the motor is replaceable, how does it come out? I do not see any screws securing it to the housing.

      A:  Theres 3 screws securing the motor to the housing. not sure if you can just buy a separate replacement motor.

            A:  The fan & light are pre wired to an attached electrical box. You run your existing wire & connect in that box.
