It should stay in place as long as all the mounts are tightened. A:  Thank you for your question, Kathy! There may be debris inside the solenoid assembly if this was not properly flushed during installation. First turn the water supplies off, disconnect the pullout hose on the bottom of the solenoid and place a bucket underneath. Next turn the water supplies back on and place the faucet handle to the mixed, on position and allow the water to flush out of the solenoid into the bucket. Turn the water supplies back off and re-connect the pull out hose and clip.
