Q:MY NEW U/M SINK WILL BE ONLY 13" FROM BACK TO FRONT WHEN INSTALLED. I SEE THAT THE SPOUT IS 5" LONG, SO HOW FAR OUT DOES THE WATER FLOW EXTEND ACROSS THE SINK? i LIKE THIS FAUCET BUT AM CONCERNED THAT THE SINK IS TOO SMALL. WOULD THE TALLER VERSION OF THIS MODEL FIT MY SINK BETTER?

A:  Hi Sassy, Thank you for your question. At high flow the water from the spout on the model 598LF-RBMPU extends out from the faucet centers approximately 9" into the sink, or 5" from the end of the spout. Thanks, Dave

A:  It definitely has a ceramic disk. I'm going to guess it's brass because it is certainly solid metal. It is very heavy and beautifully made.

Q:Would you please explain in detail how the water is (1) turned on & off and (2) the water is adjusted from cold to hot? (4 "handles" are visible)

A:  The lever you see in the photo turns water on and off; you simply use the lever--you will pull it out to the right/down to turn water flow on, and then you have a range of forward and back. Forward is cold, backwards is hot. Pretty simple!

A:  The side handle pulls out away from the center of the faucet. This turns it on or off. Pulling towards you makes it hotter and away from you is colder. (I think you can reverse hot/cold if you connect the lines opposite)

A:  Twilit away from the spout to turn on and tilt front to back for temperature

A:  Hi Novice, The faucet is turned on by pulling the handle out away from the spout. Rotating the handle back will provide you with hot water and pulling the handle towards you will provide cold water.

A:  To add to what others have said, actually you can connect the hot and cold lines any way you want, so if you prefer to pull forward/left for hot and back/right for cold, you can connect the hoses that way. You can also install the faucet rotated on an angle to the sink so the spout points to the left any degrees, causing the handle to be more towards the front. It's your choice!
