A: You have a couple of options:
1) Contact the manufacturer and see if they sell it separately; shipping my be prohibitive.
2) Buy the shorter replacement that you found and move one of the end holders.
3) Buy a new one and just use the rod.
4) Look around for another type / less expensive 'spring loaded' holder. Since the finish does not matter, you just want the rod.

A: Courtney, Thank you for your question. The Crestfield Double Post Toilet Paper Holder in Polished Chrome is made of zinc. Best, Customer Care Team

A: Courtney, it is made of a heavy duty plastic. The beautiful finish on it though makes it look like chrome.
I am very pleased with it, and also recommended it to other shoppers, AND some of my family members.
It is as durable as need be.

A: On the toilet paper holder, Delta Crestfield, the bar is plastic however it's very sturdy and I doubt you'll ever need to replace it. On the Preston Moen towel holder which I also have, it's metal.

A: The roller is made of plastic, it is light weight but the finish on the product appears to be high quality that should hold up for a long time. The only time you will see it is when reloading the paper, so don't let this prevent you from purchasing a good product.
