A: When power is lost and the backup battery runs out you will need to press the reset button in the battery compartment of the panel to reset the system. This will reset the passcode to the default and the system will need to re-programmed.

A: There isnt a speaker jack or wifi/bluetooth feature to this system. It is very basic but an effective and inexpensive security solution. I have coupled this with window alarms which have their own sirens in some of my rental units.

A: Sorry but I have to chime in here. Both answers to this question are wrong! It is impossible for anyone here to answer this question because each municipality has it's own laws regarding alarm systems. Just because your system is not connected to an alarm company doesn't change a thing. In a recent town I lived in, the law said that you could not install or operate any home security system without first registering with the township, said nothing about monitoring. If you have neighbors that are close enough to your house and hear the siren, they may call the police themselves. Then the police will respond. These laws are not just about your alarm monitoring, they are also about keeping public nuisances at bay.

A: Nope. Its a stand alone in home system, and is not monitored by wi-fi or phone line. No central monitoring station to deal with. Its for in home use only.

A: No, this product does not meet the requirement for permitted alarms. This is no different that a high water alarm or smoke detector. It does not alert police, nor is it monitored. It simply sounds off an irritating alarm for a couple of minutes to scare off intruders. If your neighbors are in their house they will not hear the alarm.
