A:  Hi Daisy, good question. Please follow the instruction sheet within the product package. You can also follow below steps: Pull the switch on top to TIMER ON. Select a time period (or periods) you want the device turned on. Push down ALL the segments that fall on or within that time period. You may need to turn the dial clockwise to access the desired segments. Turn the rotating timer dial clockwise until the pointer on the face of the dial points to the current time of day. NOTE: Nighttime hours from 6:30PM to 6:30AM are highlighted with a gray background.

Keep or push down the segments that you want the fixture ON. 2.Each segment equals 30 minutes. 3.Rotate the timer’s dial clockwise until the arrowhead on the face points to the current time of day. Note: Date time and night time are marked on the dial. 4.Set the timer switch at the top to TIMER ON position. Note: to override the timer and use your fixture, set the timer switch to the OUTLET ON position. This will deactivate the timers control of the fixture. To reactivate the timers control, set the timers switch to TIMER ON.
