Q:Can I paint an Polypropylene rug with this?

A:  We would not recommend the Dazzling Metallics for this application for two reasons: 1. We've not tested adhesion to polypropylene, so we do not know the long term durability on this material, and 2. This paint is not formulated to hold up to foot traffic if on the floor. It may be ok for a decorative piece, but we can't guarantee adhesion and/or results on this surface. However, our Americana Multi-Surface Satin paints should be fine for the rug. -DecoArt Paint Guru

        A:  It is an Acrylic paint. I actually use mine on material and have used it on wood and cardboard. I see no reason why it can't be used on paper.

              A:  Yes, or can be thinned with water. We recommend not thinning more than 20% of the volume of the bottle, or it will compromise adhesion properties of the paint. -DecoArt Paint Guru

                A:  When you use liquid acrylics, be sure to follow the 1 to 10 ratio rule; mix 1 part acrylic paint to 10. If you use too much paint, it could could become clumpy. I found out that black does NOT mix as well as other colors. Do a test sample first.

                      A:  Our Dazzling Metallic is formulated for indoor use only - it is not suitable for outside elements. You can use it as a trim paint on your mailbox, but will require a clear outdoor sealer to protect it long term. -DecoArt Paint Guru
