Q:Can this be mixed with non-metallic acrylic paints and used with a fabric medium to paint on fabric?
by|Oct 21, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it can, but if mixed with any other manufacturer's acrylic or medium other than DecoArt, we cannot guarantee results. However, be advised that mixing Dazzling Metallic with another opaque acrylic paint very well may mute the metallic effect. -DecoArt Paint Guru

Q:Can this paint be used on metal and is it water proof

    Answer This Question

A:  The Venetian Gold can be applied to metal. However, it is not formulated to stand up to water or outside elements by itself. We highly recommend using a water-based sealer over the Dazzling Metallics for water resistance and longevity. DecoArt Paint Guru

                    Answer This Question

A:  Not sure what's you're painting but I would contact the manufacturer directly- some top coats, especially aerosols will strip the paint right off

                    by|Mar 20, 2019

A:  I don't think a top coat is necessary in the Bedroom. In the Kitchen perhaps.

Q:Can this paint be used to decorate a foil balloon?

                        Answer This Question

A:  We have not tested this paint on a foil balloon, so we cannot guarantee results with regard to adhesion to the slick surface. Also, we would not recommend this paint because it dries hard, so there's no flexibility with the balloon surface and would crack. -DecoArt Paint Guru

                        by|Feb 23, 2019

A:  Hello Milton, Thank you for your question. Yes you can use this on a foil balloon. It may take a couple coats to get decent coverage. It may chip off over time due to the surface being so slick the adhesion will not be that great. But if you want it for a party and the balloon isn't going to be handles a lot than you should be just fine.
