    A:  Hello, Thank you for your question and we apologize for the delay in responding. This appliance is equipped with an automatic defrost function and does not require manual defrosting. Defrost water from the appliance is channeled into a drip tray located above the compressor and the heat from the compressor causes this water to evaporate. Regards Ann

                          A:  Hello Rayon100, the auto defrost means the the unit will go into cycles automatically, you do not need to turn it off or to press a button, it will do it in intervals by itself.
