A:  I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS AND HAVE ONLY HAD 1 BAG TO LEAK

A:  I haven't had that happen but also haven't purchased any since the pandemic. It's possible you got a bad batch. I'd just contact DampRid directly with the barcode and any other information from the box so they are aware and have the opportunity to correct it.

A:  I have not had that problem. Try to keep things away from them as per instructions and before hanging check for tears on the bags. Hope this helps

A:  I usually buy 3-4 boxes for my son’s basement every other month. But I’ve noticed that on my last two purchases several bags opened right away after hanging leaving a mess! I did take them back to Home Depot and was given a replacement I just accepted it as bad lot from China It sucks that we are victims of corporate greed and poor quality control

A:  That never happened to me. Perhaps a professional carpet cleaning business can help you. I cannot advice you.

A:  I would contact the Damp Rid company for any answers.

A:  Not sure how to handle a spill on carpet. Try Forex?

A:  I am so not sure. A tub fell over in our camper and it was a bear to clean up. I just kept scooping and wiping. Vinegar might cut it. Ugh.

A:  Contact a professional rug cleaner like Stanley Steamer or whomever is available in your area.

A:  Not sure, I use them in my home. Each pack only last about 1 month in my house before the bag get filled with water. The beads absorbs the water and the water collects in the plastic bag at the bottom. It may be different in storage, it could last longer.

A:  The DampRid moisture absorber must be hung by the hanger attached to the bag. The beads in the upper part of the bag absorb moisture and gravity drains the water to the plastic bag on the bottom. Should be ok to hang in the pod..I have had no problem with leakage. I use them in a damp basement during the summer months and they generally must be replaced after 45 days. Good product.

A:  Yes, but I'd suggest hanging them in the storage.

A:  YOU NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THEM. SOMETIMES THEY LAST BUT OTHER TIMES THEY REALLY COLLECT THE WATER. I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE TO BURST AND THEY DO ABSORB GOOD. YOUR TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY IS DIFFERENT THAN MINE BUT I THINK THEY WOULD HELP.

A:  Water collection in a plastic bag. It is possible for the bank to break thoughnot easily.

A:  it collects in loose water in bag. It would think it would be good to hang in pod as long as it is free to circulating air and not packed tightly .

A:  Yes, best products for humid conditions. The beads dissolves and the liquid is collected in the lower pockets. Place some in your containers, and also the pods.

A:  Once then crystals have disappeared it will stop collecting water.

A:  THEY REMAIN. THEY FORM INTO A SOLID MASS AS THE BAG FILLS WITH WATER. WE USE THESE IN OUR RV AND CHANGE THEM OUT EVERY 6 TO 8 WEEKS. HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR 5-6 YEARS WITH GREAT RESULTS.

A:  There will be no more crystals after they are all gone. Once the water fills up the bag, then you need to get another one. There is moisture in your house and that's why the bags collect water.

A:  They remain.

A:  The crystals will disappear as bag fills with water. As the bag is used, there may be just a few crystals left, but they will be discolored. The last of my crystals are usually black or dark gray.

A:  Over time they will all dissolve I use the liquid on weeds in the cracks of sidewalks and yard pavers

A:  THERE WILL BE SOME SCENT CRYSTALS REMAINING. I LIVE IN A TRAILER AND DAMP RID IS A MUST HAVE. I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. WHEN THE BAG GETS FULL I REPLACE IT. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

A:  The Crystal's will disappear. Sometimes they become hard and lumped together, but all you should do is squeeze them. They breakup easily. Don't remove the bag until all the crystals are gone.

A:  Be very helpful.

A:  It would be worth a try. I use these hanging moisture bags in many different locations where there is no light available and it does a good job drawing moisture into hanging bag. There are various small Damp Rid items that could probably be used for this purpose also.

A:  My position is that nothing beats a failure but a try. Try it, it just my solve your moisture problem.

A:  Jdog, thanks for your question about using the DampRid Hanging Moisture Absorber bag to absorb moisture in a smelly ice hockey bag of equipment. We do not recommend using this product because the bag needs to hang with enough space to allow air circulation to eliminate the excess moisture and musty ordor. Please give our DampRid helpline a call at 888-326.7743 to discuss which moisture absorber product is more suitable for controlling moisture in smaller spaces.

A:  I think that would work. You may want to try the ones in container vs. the hanging bag for that so that airflow can get to the damp rid.

A:  YES!! Make sure to change about every 4 to 6 weeks depends on how much moisture it collects.

A:  I don't see why not...

A:  We got the damprid containers and have placed in one of our gun safes and so far it seems to be helping. I don't know that the hanging ones would be a good choice because they need to hang freely with no obstructions on either side. If you are able to do that I bet they would work great.

A:  It doesn’t say you can’t, I use inside our gun closet.

A:  Perhaps

A:  No sure. When the bag breaks, it's not just water or moisture it's oily.

A:  You need to check the water level in the bag once in a while. When it looks full replace it.

A:  white vinegar.. Must change bag when it get full if it sets a full for a long time it will break.

A:  Yes. I would try the vinegar and baking soda with a brush. Was it too full of moisture? I haven't experienced any leakage or bursts.

A:  The wall will need to be wiped with a bath towel dampened with cold water and then dried with a dry bath towel.

A:  If you are talking dual pane windows (like the fancy vinyl ones), this is not your product. These are more to keep mildew out of your clothes if you live in a humid area. For me, I live near the coast, so we get a lot moisture in the air....which lands on the walls and in dark closets making mildew. If that was your case, then this IS your product as it draws the moisture out of the air. But for window condensation, it may not work.

A:  It might help some I have hung them in my basement and it has collected water

A:  The closest to the windows you can hang the bag will help to keep down condensation. Also make sure clothes are not hung in front of basement windows.

A:  We have one hanging in the bedroom window. It does a fair job but really can't keep up with hot showers. But that one IS filling up the fastest. So it is doing some good.

A:  It is not meant for this purpose it is use for damp in a basement
