    Q:The manual says that the pressure regulator is “pre-set” at a “factory setting”. What is that setting ? Also, what are the increments if you turn the pressure regulator up or down 1/2 turn. Is it #1000 increase per revolution ?? And is the cap marked “oil”in the bag tied to the pressure regulator. Is that for the water pump ? MANY thanks !! I’m quite happy with my Dewalt so far, I just wish I had more information in the user guide. Thanks for your help ! Smooth

    A:  The pump is preset at 4000 PSI max pressure, and it will dial down to 1000 PSI at lowest pressure. The amount of pressure decrease will vary from machine to machine per revolution. The vented cap is for the pump, and you need to remove the red shipping cap and install this on the pump instead. We glad you reached out and let us know if we can help with any more questions.
