Q:can a 21 degree nail work in a 30 degree nailer gun
by|Feb 20, 2024

Answer This Question
A: No, it is not possible to use 21-degree nails in a 30-degree nailer. The 30-degree nailer is designed to work with collation angles from 30 to 34 degrees. Using a different angle may result in nail jam and may damage your tool. 30-degree nails have a paper strip and clipped nail heads, while 21-degree nailers work on plastic strips and shoot fully round nails.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Thomas,
Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. For DEWALT to recommend a framing nail to be used on ACQ or treated lumber, the nail would need to be galvanized at a minimum or preferably stainless steel. These nails have a brite finish and not a galvanized finish. A galvanized finish would have a G at the end of the model or show up on the chart as galvanized

Answer This Question
A: Hello ReachDan
Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. The galvanization on finish nails would not be suitable for treated lumber. On that, we would suggest using stainless steel nails
