A:  For pulling up old shingles yes this will definitely go thru the work fast.

A:  Yes it would work good on your roof to assist in replacing a few shingles. If you are doing a full roof replacement I would also invest in a bigger bar.

A:  I've never removed roof shingles. However, this flat bar is light weight, easy to handle and seems durable.

A:  It's got a good length, so yeah, I'd use it. You may want to grind the leading edge a bit. I find most pry bars come from the factory pretty blunt.
