        A:  Typical 10 inch saw blades can cut about 3 inches thick in one pass, depending on the thickness of the saw plate. A 4x4 is really 3 1/2 inches thick. So it can easily be done in 2 passes.

                Q:I just purchased this saw (type10) the riving knife alignment screws are missing. There are no screws or locks at all in the plate. Any one else have this issue?
