A: This part did not work for me. The angle is too far forward and causes the valve to stick in the up position. I hope this helps.

A: Yes it fits the 160 if you follow "frustrated's" advice....cut end and heat under a gas flame gently to bend.

Q:Mike I am not sure I understand your answer - I am not looking to replace my old handle. All I need is a lever arm to fit into my existing external handle. So I want to know if I can take off the external chrome handle that comes with the lever arm on this product and put my own existing external handle on the lever arm. Does this product allow you to screw off the chrome handle it already comes with and put on your own regardless of what brand of handle it its? pls clarify thank you!

A: Hi Yo,
The handle on a toilet is very easy to replace.
You must open the tank and remove the nut holding the handle from the inside, disconnect the chain for the flapper.
This nut has left hand thread. Remove the old handle insert the new one and reinstall the nut.
Hookup the chain for the flapper and you are good to go.

Q:DANCO Trip Lever in Chrome is in my toilet now. The plastic piece that goes to the valve in the bottom of the toilet broke. There is still some of the plastic on the arm and on the valve. Where can I buy that part so the toilet will flush again?

A: If I understand you correctly, there is a replacement chain you can buy which attaches to the arm and the flapper. You vary the length by skipping some of the links. It only costs a few bucks.
