Q:is there a different stem that turns clockwise to the 'open' position?

A:  Thank you for your interest in Danco products. Our Danco 10467 3S-17H/C American Standard can be reversed by removing and re-positioning the green handle adapter to the other flat side of the stem itself.

    A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Turn off the water at the supply. Remove the handle. Remove the retainer nut that keeps the stem in place. Remove the old stem. Clean the faucet body to remove any mineral buildup or debris. Insert the new stem and replace the retainer nut. Replace the handle. Turn on water and test.

      Q:My tile installer put a coupling on our supply pipes to the bathtub/shower that only fits this stem. The handles are now gone (thanks renters!) and I need to replace them. It works without handles fine but I cant find any handles to replace.

      A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not offer a direct-fit replacement handle for this stem. Because of the stem's shape, you will probably have better luck using a vise-grip style universal handle.
