A: This is in a small clamshell package. The plastic just needs to be carefully cut open to allow the tool to be freed.
A: Was in the store yesterday. The whole line of these with orange handles was labeled "Made in China." in very small type, like they are a bit ashamed of the fact that Apex Group has sold out the American worker.
A: Yes!
A: Dude, We still do make a version of the 6 in. Crescent Adjustable Wrench in our South Carolina manufacturing facility. The version we make is not a cushion grip version. To be competitive in the market place we came up with an import version that we can sell at a more Retail friendly price. You can find the Made in the USA version by following this link: http://www.crescenttool.com/crescent-ac16-6-chrome-finish-adjustable-wrench.html
A: Wish it was. (CHINA)
A: The wrench is made in China.
A: Yes.
A: Jake, The maximum opening on this wrench is 1/2 Inch, or 12.7 mm
A: I believe a hair over 9/16"
A: The maximum opening is 4 inches.
A: 3/4" would be the comfortable opening but could hold something up to 7/8"
A: Jake, This wrench has a maximum opening of 1/2" or 12.7mm. The size scale is etched on both sides of the wrench head, one side in SAE, the other in Metric
A: I would not, made to cut thick copper cable wire.
A: This would depend on the style of lock you are working with. This Crescent adjustable wrench has a max opening of 1/2 inch, or 12.7mm.
A: Not sure if the lock would have nut ?, most of the time they just have a clip to push off. A screwdriver would most likely be a better fit.
A: There ARE stupid questions . This is one of those . How do we the public , know what size the nuts are on your Mailbox lock? . And why are you taking the lock off and putting the same lock back on??? Are you just changing the lock or what? Measure how wide they are with a measuring tape. Would give you my feelings about a tape purchase just let me know , because I know about how to by the right tape for your needs would be. Chasmo
A: The nut to the lock would need to be in the 1/2" size if not it would not work for you.
A: Made in China
A: Yes, that's why it's a true fit.
A: No, this tool is made in China
A: Diana, This tool is not made in the USA, it is manufactured in our facility in China and meets all of the specifications you have come to expect from the Crescent Brand. We do still offer the American Made Crescent Wrenches without the cushion grip on our own website, you can find it by following this link : http://www.crescenttool.com/crescent-ac18-8-chrome-finish-adjustable-wrench.html
