A:  This worked great for me against Aphids/Lantern flies. Totally wiped them out after a season of use. My maple tree bis doing good now and other trees are doing well now with no more infestation. Highly recommend just follow the directions on the label and give it time to work.

by|Jul 29, 2022

A:  Yes. The active ingredient is Imidacloprid, which is use for Hemlock Wooly Adelgids. Easy to apply as a soil drench.

A:  This product worked well on one of my trees and bushes, Wish I could remember the names of the tree and bushes. Both are flowering.  Bugs are the leaves on the bushes and the tree had a scale.  Worked within two weeks after application.

A:  It won't obviously restore the part that is dead. But it should stop the borers. I have been treating my 5 Ash trees for Emerald Ash Borer and 1 clump white birch with this product for the last 8 years. I did lose one of the Ash, but the remaining 4 show no evidence of further damage. Zone 4.

A:  I think it should be a gallon..diluted with equal amount of water. A gallon is 128oz? I remember doing my oak tree which was just about 128 inches around. I think they say an inch per ounce? Used this stuff over the past couple of years. Seems to keep lantern fly population down along with other "nibbling" pests. Eat a leaf and die!. I guess, whatever "critter's" are gnawing at your trees, this company's insecticide appears to work. I actually discussed this with my Doctor over the past year or so, who, after going practically insane back in 2020 trying to control the infestation mentioned to me last month that this year, everything remains quiet and not being overrun with bugs made him and his spouse happy. Any doubts, call the Company's toll free number on the bottle to verify if I'm right.

A:  Not if you intend to eat the fruit. This is a systemic, long lasting pesticide that could be in all parts of the tree for up to one year and the active ingredient is toxic to humans to some extent.

A:  Hi There.  This a great product for ornamentals, but should never be used on any fruit, vegetable, or other edible plants/trees.  The pesticide stays and remains active in the planter tree for a full 12 months. Anything that you harvest within a full year will be contaminated with the pesticide, and should not be eaten.  Home Depot carriers a great product from Bayer that is specifically for citrus and other fruit trees. It is also a systemic product, so rain won’t wash it away. However, the Bayer product only lasts for three months, so that the fruit will be safe to eat by the time it is harvested.

A:  The directions tell you how much to mix in a gallon and the entire gallon is poured at the base of the tree outward around the trunk.

A:  Great question, it calls to use 1oz per inch of tree circumference. So, an 8” diameter tree takes 26 oz’s of drench. I mix mine in 2 gallons of water so it is concentrated around the tree on the ground. I’m sure they will give you a recommendation in the instructions too.

A:  I have 2 1/2 acres with more than 20 fruit trees.  I have never needed more than 2 gallons for their yearly fall treatment.  And we are in an area with a heavy borer population.  I treat in the fall so that neither the blooms nor the fruit will be poisonous to pollinating bees and birds, and the fruit will be safe for my family

A:  Only way to know for sure is measure the circumference at chest high. Or diameter multiplied by pi (3.14).  1 ounce per inch of circumference. I lay out my wind break trees on a paper and measured all recording the data and then mix with water per instructions.

A:  I also have a large yard with quite a few large trees. I've used this product and a handful of others over the years but I just use whatever amount it takes to treat all my trees. There should be a chart on how much to mix up based on the size of the trunk but don't use it on flowering trees because it's very bad for the bees.

A:  Well, the Compare and Save tells you what to do "per tree" size. Since the tree takes up the insecticide into its leaves, etc., there shouldn't be an environmental issue or problem. How many trees are on this acre? 3.2 gallons doesn't sound like a lot since it's diluted with water. Call the company (it's on the container) and ask them. I did a couple of years ago when I wanted to clarify an issue. They were very cooperative. Presumably, you've measured the trees sizes. etc., so you should be able to deduce the amount. I've used it and it appears to work very well at quelling infestations..
