A:  No, even solid Knotty Alder - a beautiful species that’s easy to work - would be challenged by the sunlight and direct exposure to weathering. But this product is not “Marine Grade” plywood and would delaminate quickly.

A:  Hello, The panel is not intended to be used in exterior applications. It has a water resistant glue, but not a waterproof glue.

A:  Hello, You can have the 2x8 panel cut into the sizes you need. On the product image page you can scroll down to the custom cut form and enter the size you need. Send to the email address on the form and let us know the total number of cuts you are looking for.

A:  Hello, The 1/4" panels will only have Alder on the face side. The back of the panel will be some other specie. It is intended to be exposed on the face side only. The bullet points have this stated. The 1/2" and 3/4" panels will have Alder on both face and back.

A:  Both sides are alder.

A:  Mine had 2 sides, but one was MUCH better than the other. To me, that indicated that you were supposed to put the more finished side to the front. Maybe that's why the description is what it is.

A:  Difficult to say whether the wood on the opposite side was actually alder or not, but one side definitely has a nicer, more uniform appearance than the other. (if I were to guess, I'd say that it's either a light alder or maple.)
