A:  Not at all. Both sides open up all the way and close with velcro. Ir's very convenient to just open the side and pull wood from the top.

A:  Yes, for the most part, it does. I say it that way because mine hasn't been exposed to a full-day of very heavy rain. As a precaution, I lay a large plastic garbage bag on the top of the wood pile before putting the cover on.

A:  In my experience, yes. I've had mine outside here in South Florida for about three years now, and although I only have fires in the winter, spring and summer can be very wet and I've never opened it up to find anything wet at all.

A:  The overall size is close to accuracy. I bought a firewood rack from a famous hardware store based on the cover dimensions and it matches up well. The cover has a moderate amount of extra covering space. To some it up, the cover is slightly bigger then advertised. Hope that helps.
