      Answer This Question

A:  More specifications: The body of the motor, measuring along the side between front and back (but not including the ring mounts), is 4.86". If you measure from the back of the motor, not incl ring mount, to the end of the shaft it is 9.36". From the face of the motor to the end of the shaft is 4.5". If you want to measure from the end of the ring mount to the end of the shaft then that's 3.86". If you want to center the ring mounts, then it's 5.42" (that should be the width of the cradle if it's ring mounted). The ring mount itself (measuring from motor face to end of ring mount) pops out 1/2" on the back, and 0.64" on the front. It should be noted that the depth of a belly band mounted motor doesn't usually need to match the depth of the old motor as the motor is typically adjustable in the band - and there's usually room behind the motor and even inside the wheel. The depth matters a lot if it's in a cradle of course. 26" long leads, lead reversible (you can reverse direction by using the direction wires). Capacitor not included, requires a 7.5MFD/370V - of course a 7.5MFD/440V will work fine.

A:  It should, but to be sure, get a picture of your old unit and compare it to the new one on the Home-depot site...Also, you can call Home-depot and get them to cross reference your old model number to their new unit that you are considering for purchase... That is what I did and it matched up perfectly with my older unit...Home-depot has all the models and sometime you can you just eyeball the unit and make an informed decision...Hope this helps...Plus Home-Depot sells these blower fan motors at an affordable price compared to all the other vendors out there... I can assure Home-depot has your blower fan motor...You just have to make sure you get the correct one...Call their home-depot customer service line if you cannot match up your old unit with a model on the home-depot site and they will help you with cross reference your old unit with the home-depot unit... Answer This Question

A:  You would match the horsepower rating (HP). Newer motors are usually higher efficiency than older motors, so the current will probably be a little lower for the same HP rating.

A:  Check to see if both motors are the same voltage first, then move forward.

A:  The horse power should be the same. The motor has the wire color for the different speeds on the motor. It also has the information for switching which leads to run the motor in the opposite direction. Make sure you buy a new capacitor when you get this.
